Ati Hd 4890 1gb Crossfire - Amd Phenom Ii 955 Be Vs Intel Core I7 920

O site ModReactor fez um teste que poucos sites costumam fazer hoje em dia, benchmarks de CROSSFIRE entre duas plataformas de CPU, uma AMD e a outra INTEL, ambas de última geração, foram usadas duas 4890. As configurações usadas foram:

•Sapphire HD 4890 1GB GDDR5 or 2x HD 4890 1GB GDDR5 in CrossFire mode
•hard drive 1: Western Digital Raptor 10 000RPM 36GB
•Hard drive 2: Seagate Barracuda 7200.9 300GB
•PSU: Raptoxx RT-EBAD1200 1200W
•Cooler: Noctua NH-C12



Intel Core i7 configuration:

•Motherboard: MSI X58 Pro
•Processor: Intel Core i7 920 @ 2.66GHz (133x20)
•Memory: Patriot Viper Series 3x2GB 1600MHz 8-8-8-24

AMD AM3 configuration:

•Motherboard: ASUS M4A79T Deluxe
•Processor: AMD Phenom II 955 BE AM3 @ 3.2GHz (200x16)
•Memory: Corsair XMS Series 2x2GB 1600MHz 7-7-7-20

The tests were concluded under Windows Vista Ultimate x64. The drivers for the AMD HD 4890 cards were the most recent by the time of the review - ATI Catalyst 9.6 WHQL. the drivers of the motherboards were respectively the most recent ones from the websites of the according manufacturer. Here is the list of the tests we ran:
